The board may meet in study session at any time called by the president of the board to review materials or matters of general or specific interest including, but not limited to, the review of issues to be acted on in a business meeting, to receive reports from the administration, and to review planning activities related to curriculum, budget development, and any other school-related areas of interest.  No final action shall be taken on issues studied or discussed.  Such action shall be delayed until a regular monthly or special meeting of the board.

 

A closed session may be held at the conclusion of a study session to discuss matters as provided for under current law.

 

If not announced in a regular, adjourned, special, emergency or organizational meeting, the same provision used to call a special meeting will be used to call a study session.
