The board shall attempt to ensure staff health, safety and protection during working hours.

 

The board shall comply with the provisions of the federal and Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Acts as they apply regarding the employee's right to know of hazardous conditions or materials.  The superintendent shall develop appropriate procedures for informing staff.

 

All persons employed by the board can be required to present satisfactory evidence that they are of sound physical and mental health.  If the board so desires, it may request an employee to submit to a physical or mental examination by its doctor at board expense.
